This piece is a Damascene Turban Stand. It was popular during the Ottoman period. It's hand-inlaid mother of pearl on walnut. Very rich in early Islamic and Middle eastern Arabesque inlay designs in both geometrical and leaf/floral designs. A great wall accent or as a sconce.
